Opening Day Video

As I continue to learn the story of Entiat, I realize how deep the history of this valley is. I encourage you to watch this video, taken by Oly Mingo of the Heirloom Creatives. Oly graciously joined us at the park on our Opening Day event with his camera in hand, and I instantly knew that the work he would create would be beautifully well done. Thank you so much, Oly. Our deepest thanks are to Wendell George, Cheryl Grunlose and their families for sharing their stories and art and the message of optimism in the face of extreme adversity and the historical decimation of their tribe. May we offer the acknowledgement that the land we now reside on is the ancestral home of the Entiat tribe and find ways to be better people now and in the future.
