Cascade Mountains tall and steep - 

Fertile Valley, narrow and deep.

Waters running cold and free

Under the guard of ole Tyee

Snow creeps up the mountain side -

Waters cascade, rush and rise.

Warm and pleasant the spring will be;

Under the guard of ole Tyee.

Summer hot and oh so dry -

Bring growth and renewed life.

Harvest of plenty there will be;

Under the guard of ole Tyee.

A mantle of fresh new snow

And cold winds bound to blow,

The last leaf falls from the apple tree;

Under the guard of old Tyee.
